This Week’s Farm Update
Coastal California has been experiencing one of the coldest summers on record in the last 30-40 years. Our tomatoes are still flourishing in one of the warmest sections of our garden, but our pickling cucumbers and eggplant are struggling to mature due to the low temperatures. The Raff kids have begun a pumpkin patch in a small section of land on the southern tip of our property, with Jack-o-Lantern, Cinderella, Jarrahdale, giant, and pie pumpkins. We’re hoping for warmer weather so they mature by early October for a pumpkin patch with a bounce house and other fun plans the kids have been dreaming up!
