This Week’s Farm Update
Since we chatted about cold weather last week, California decided to bless us with a heat wave! This is great news for our summer crops like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and our crop of pumkins which need a boost of warm weather to begin growing fruit. Our tomatoes are traditionally late to ripen, but also, typically last late into the fall so we’re looking forward to more months of yummy tomato toast for breakfast. We’ve also got a beautiful variety of cut flowers, including marigolds and sunflowers, available for sale at the farm stand, including dried marigold strands!
Check out what’s inside this week’s box, discover the value of the items and how to keep them fresh, and see our curated recipe using items in this week’s harvest!
